Do you have experience of early help, education, social care or family support services?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Schools and Community City South Team as an Early Help Consultant on a secondment or fixed term contract until March 2028.

As part of the role, you will be required to:

  • Offer consultancy support to schools and other partners enabling the co-ordinated delivery of early help support to children with emerging SEND needs and their families.
  • Support schools and other agencies to identify and respond to the needs of children, young people and families within their community, enacting preventative and early help approaches that ensure support is provided at the earliest opportunity.
  • Provide support and challenge to agencies completing Early Help Assessment and Plans (EHAP), to ensure that the work they are completing, alongside children and families, has significant and sustained impact.
  • To contribute to the continued development and embedding of skills and capacity of the workforce to deliver integrated early help services for families. Including the development of communities of practice that embed whole family working, collaboration, co-ordination and joint agency group supervision.
  • Have a strong knowledge and confidence in using recording and reporting systems alongside systems for analysing data.
