What you’ll be doing
The Reablement Business Support Officer is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient business support that enables the Reablement and Independence Service to deliver against strategic priorities alongside statutory duties and responsibilities.
You will monitor and action tasks received through the D2A Discharges inbox, respond to internal and external customers, and provide clear advice and guidance both verbally and in writing. A key part of the role will involve maintaining accurate records across service systems, including rotas, case management information, payroll records and spreadsheets, as well as collating and entering data to support operational teams.
You will also support core business activities such as invoice processing, placing orders, diary management, routine correspondence and email management. This will include helping to manage PPE and equipment stock, carrying out stock checks, supporting purchases and payments, and ensuring colleagues have the resources they need to deliver services effectively.
The role will involve providing meeting support when required, including arranging meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and recording actions. You will work closely with colleagues across Reablement and Independence, Occupational Therapy and Discharge to Assess services, contributing to good customer service, promoting good practice and supporting a responsive, well-organised service.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1 April, subject to six months’ service and satisfactory performance, until the maximum spinal column point is reached.
