We’re looking for an experienced IT Database & Data Migration Analyst to join our team and play a key role in the administration, optimisation and governance of our database environments, as well as supporting the implementation of IFS Cloud.

This is a key technical role, with responsibility for leading the data migration workstream of the IFS Cloud programme. You’ll ensure data is accurately extracted, cleansed, transformed, validated and successfully migrated from legacy systems into IFS Cloud, while maintaining high standards of data quality, security and integrity.

What you’ll be doing

  • Administer and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Monitor and optimise database performance, security, availability and capacity.
  • Manage backups, restores, upgrades, patching and disaster recovery.
  • Lead the IFS Cloud data migration, including planning, extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate migration activities with stakeholders, suppliers and implementation partners.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and support data governance.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, database views and support Power BI reporting.
  • Provide database expertise throughout the IFS Cloud implementation, including testing, cutover and go-live.
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have strong experience across both Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server, alongside a proven background in data migration and ERP implementations.

You’ll also have:

  • Advanced SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience delivering data migration projects involving large and complex datasets.
  • Experience designing and carrying out data reconciliation and validation activities.
  • A good understanding of database security, data governance and data quality principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and external implementation partners.
