We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused IT Business Assistant to join our IT team and help connect our technical teams with the wider business.

This is a varied role supporting IT projects, change activities and business process improvement. You’ll play an important part in making sure IT changes are well planned, communicated and documented, while helping teams work in a consistent and structured way.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across different areas of the business, supporting transformation projects and system implementations, including large-scale programmes such as IFS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the IT change management process, including the change calendar, change requests and CAB meetings.
  • Support change planning and governance, including change freezes, approvals, risk assessments and post-implementation reviews.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including process maps, SOPs and work instructions.
  • Work with business teams to capture and document current and future processes.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support across IT projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain project documentation, including RAID logs, action trackers, status reports and business cases.
  • Support IT audits, governance and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate workshops, meetings and training sessions.
  • Act as a link between IT and business stakeholders, supporting clear and consistent communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, governance and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and enjoys bringing structure and clarity to complex information.

  • Experience in process documentation, mapping and change management (ITIL or similar).
  • Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work confidently with stakeholders.
  • Experience working within an IT or technology environment.
  • Familiarity with Visio, Drawio, ServiceNow, Jira or similar ITSM tools.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Experience supporting IT projects, transformation programmes or ERP implementations.
  • Understanding of governance, compliance or audit processes.
