What you’ll be doing

We are hiring 2 experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact on their community. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive Long Term Occupational Therapy Team at Slough Borough Council, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving the lives of adults with complex and long-term needs.

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality, person-centered interventions that promote independence and reduce reliance on long-term care. You’ll play a key role in supporting individuals with physical and mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and age-related challenges, helping them live safely and confidently in their own homes.

You’ll also contribute to exciting and innovative projects, including:

  • Leading on Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) referrals and environmental adaptations.
  • Promoting the use of Assistive Technology and digital tools like AskSARA to enhance independence.
  • Supporting Discharge to Assess pathways, Proportionate Care and In-Reach projects with residential settings and Domiciliary Care Providers.
  • Collaborating with Integrated Care and Decision Making (ICDM) clusters, GPs, and community health professionals.
