You'll play a key role in expanding Bond Solon's reach by building genuine professional connections, identifying opportunities through referrals, industry networks and partnerships, and introducing our market-leading training solutions to new audiences. You'll have the freedom to build your own network, create opportunities and establish yourself as a trusted contact within the sectors we serve.
Your ability to build relationships, spot commercial opportunities and connect the right people with the right solutions will directly contribute to Bond Solon's continued success as the market leader in expert witness training and professional support.

Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities
In this consultative 360-degree sales role, you'll help drive revenue growth by introducing Bond Solon's market-leading expert witness training programmes to new and existing customers. You'll partner with individual experts and professional organisations, taking the time to understand their goals, challenges and development needs before recommending tailored learning solutions that genuinely add value.
You will be responsible for
- Building new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, relationship building and professional engagement.
- Owning the full customer journey, from initial conversations and discovery through to solution recommendation, negotiation and closing.
- Developing trusted relationships with professional experts, senior stakeholders and key decision-makers across a range of industries.
- Growing existing accounts by identifying opportunities to introduce additional training and development solutions.
- Taking a consultative approach to uncover client needs and recommend tailored solutions that support their professional development objectives.
- Working closely with existing clients to identify networking opportunities, conferences, industry events and publications that can generate valuable new introductions.
- Acting as an ambassador for Bond Solon and building our reputation across professional communities and networks.
- Collaborating with marketing to maximise the impact of campaigns, events, content and inbound enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate customer and sales records using CRM systems.
- Working alongside colleagues across the wider business to identify and maximise commercial growth opportunities.
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience that creates long-term relationships and repeat business.

What's the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?
Success in this role requires resilience, self-motivation and strong organisation. You'll be managing multiple conversations, opportunities and client relationships simultaneously while working in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
You'll need to balance proactive business development with delivering an exceptional customer experience, ensuring every interaction creates value and strengthens long-term relationships.
You'll also need the confidence to engage with senior decision-makers, ask insightful questions and adapt your approach to different personalities, professions and industries.
Essential and desirable capabilities
To be successful in this role, you must have/ be:
- Sales experience, ideally within a B2B, professional services or customer-facing commercial environment.
- A genuine passion for consultative selling and building long-term professional relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with doctors, solicitors, surveyors and other senior professionals.
- The ability to build credibility and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, including Heads of Department.
- Experience, or a genuine enthusiasm for developing skills in, outbound prospecting, networking and business development.
- Strong relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills.
- A commercially curious mindset with a desire to understand customers, their challenges and their ambitions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- The confidence to clearly articulate value, build engagement and influence decision-making both verbally and in writing.
To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:
- Experience selling into professional services markets.
- Experience in training, education or professional development sales.
- A background in legal training, compliance or related professional services sectors.
- Familiarity with Salesforce systems and sales engagement tools.
- Experience working within a consultative or solution-based sales environment.
