Job Description: Male Support Worker
Pay: £16.81 week days, £18.91 week day nights, £21.01 weekends

We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Support Workers to work with an individual who has a learning Disability and autism and mental health support needs within the Shrewsbury area.

An extraordinary and life-changing opportunity waits for a truly exceptional support worker. This remarkable role calls for someone who’s native tongue is English an empowering and positive presence, and someone with a wealth of experience assisting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
We value the thirst for knowledge and the drive to learn above all. We eagerly welcome those who are available to work, day or night, weekdays, or weekends. Additionally, you will be supported by other caregivers as this is a 4:1 care package. Our individual, 16 year old male who lives with his mum and sibling in their own home.
Now, we seek extraordinary support workers who possess an insatiable hunger to make a profound impact this young man’s life. We aren't simply looking for anyone, but rather for those who can rise above limitations and drive our individuals towards a life filled with unimaginable joy and success.
To be part of their team, they are looking for the following qualities from a team member:
- Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life.
- Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living.
- Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people, and that you understand that being autistic is an important part of who they are.
- Be a positive advocate for them.
- Be consistent – do what you say you say you will if you can’t explain why.
- Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner.
- Be patient and understanding encourage them on the difficult days.
- Have a fun and kind personality who will go on adventures.
- Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks.
- Come to work to “Get to know me” as that is what is needed to support them.
- Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care.
- Think outside the box.
- Be upbeat and positive.
- Have a sense of humour (dark)
This individual love the following activities:
- Gaming
- Visiting zoos /safari parks
- Kayaking and open water swimming
- Swimming or a willingness to learn to swim is essential as numerous days spent at the lake in the summer.

Schedule
- Day shift: 08:00 to 20:00 (7 Days a week)
- Waking Nights: 20:00 to 08:00 (7 Days a week)
- Overtime
Licence/Certification
- Driving Licence (MUST)
*Refer a friend bonus is payable at
· £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift.
· £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their probation period.
