The Vacancy

Overview

Fieldfisher is seeking an experienced Finance Reporting & Business Intelligence Lead to own and develop the firm's finance and practice management reporting solutions.

Working closely with Finance, Business Services, IT Data Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing development, governance and enhancement of Power BI reporting solutions, semantic models and management information that support Partners, Finance leadership and Practice Groups. The role will assume ownership of reporting assets delivered through an ongoing reporting transformation programme and drive future reporting improvements.

Responsibilities

The role will primarily include, but is not limited to, the below tasks:

  • Own the Finance Power BI reporting estate.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and semantic models.
  • Deliver reporting across revenue, WIP, billing, debtors, profitability, budgeting and financial performance.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy through validation and reconciliation.
  • Drive report rationalisation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage reporting governance, security and standards.
  • Transition and support ongoing reporting solutions.
  • Provide reporting support, training and guidance to business user

Experience & Knowledge

  • Advanced Power BI development experience, including DAX, Power Query and SQL skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining semantic models and reporting datasets.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and management information.
  • Experience designing finance and operational dashboards.
  • Understanding of D365 Finance & Operations reporting structures and data entities desirable
  • Experience validating and reconciling financial data.
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legal or professional services reporting desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric desirable.
  • Self-motivated, organised and comfortable owning solutions through to completion.
