As a Material Handler - Level 5 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and handling materials to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials through the supply chain. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet customer demands.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations by ensuring that materials are accurately received, stored, and distributed. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and collaborating with various departments to resolve any material-related issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and COSHH requirements while working per established processes and procedures.
  • Conduct activities in accordance with company procedures and standard work practices, ensuring standardization across the team.
  • Identify and implement improvements within the workflow and participate in Tier/Team meetings for collaboration.
  • Drive resolution as a point of escalation for the team and participate in preventing, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions, updating risk assessments as needed.
  • Manage inventory, including PI checking and COGI management, while ensuring coverage during holidays and other absences.
  • Maintain communication of training and skills matrix and produce and maintain SOS documentation.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Commitment to achieving team objectives and targets with a proactive approach to improvement ideas and programs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the material handling process and associated quality standards.
  • Self-motivated and driven, capable of working independently and using initiative.
  • Willingness to adapt to new working practices and techniques with a flexible approach to support various areas.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact at all levels within the organization.
  • (Preferred) Working knowledge of SAP and experience with MS Office.
