As a MICE Sales Manager, you’re not just generating and managing sales – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
As a MICE Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) segment for the hotel. You will proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, manage key client relationships, and position the hotel as a preferred venue for meetings and events. Working closely with internal departments, you will focusing on delivering exceptional customer experiences while achieving revenue and sales targets.
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify new leads, uncover emerging opportunities, and recommend strategies that support future and repeat business growth.
- Develop and Grow Customer Accounts: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders, travelling within the UK as required to generate new business and increase market share across all revenue streams.
- Negotiate and Secure Business: Prepare tailored proposals and negotiate competitive packages with corporate clients to maximise revenue while meeting customer needs.
- Support Business Strategy: Work within established commercial strategies while proactively identifying opportunities to expand business and improve performance.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with operational and commercial teams to create exceptional guest experiences and deliver comprehensive sales programmes that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Represent the Hotel at Industry Events: Attend sales events, networking opportunities, exhibitions, and industry functions to strengthen relationships, promote the hotel, and generate leads.
- Provide Reporting and Business Insights: Produce accurate and timely reports for the Senior Management Team, including sales activity, appointments, business leads, and conversion performance.
- Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a high standard of service throughout the sales journey
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 3-5 years in hospitality sales with strong MICE experience.
• Proven track record in account management and revenue growth.
• Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and develop innovative strategies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of global MICE trends and digital event solutions.
• Experience managing large-scale events and complex contracts.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and revenue forecasting tools.
