Retail & Commercial Banking is a global business integrating all our retail and commercial banking activities to better serve our customers, improve efficiency and drive value creation.
To succeed in this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in one of our customer engagement squads, developing engaging content that shows customers how we can help them achieve their ‘better’. You’ll be working across multiple 121 channels, using our tone of voice to create communications that are clear and compliant, giving customers a sense of grounded optimism and ‘meeting them where they are’.
You’ll work in an agile tribe environment – collaborating closely, responding quickly to changing needs, and continuously testing and refining your approach to deliver the best possible customer experience. THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Santander is looking for a Communications Executive based out of Milton Keynes. 12 Month - FTC
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
Learning our tone of voice and writing style inside and out, then using it to create compelling, accessible content.
Building an in-depth knowledge of our target customers, what 'better' means for them.
Using tools and systems to create and share customer communications, taking ownership of your content and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure efficient, timely, content approval.
Participating in Agile planning, delivery and optimisation of 121 campaigns aligned to squad priorities.
Managing external agencies (where needed) to ensure timescales and quality standards are met.
Expertly sizing and prioritising briefs and being clear with stakeholders so expectations are managed.

Professional Experience
At least 2 years’ experience in communications - in financial services or a similar environment (preferred).
Education
Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification (preferred).
Hard Skills
Write compelling, accessible copy (required).
Design/brief engaging, accessible digital communications (required).
Experience of design tools, such as Figma (preferred).
Commercial awareness of Santander products and channels (preferred).
Competent IT skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word (required).
Soft Skills
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects (required).
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills (required).
An impeccable eye for detail (required).
A growth mindset and an openness to embrace new technology (required).

Salary Range
£37,234.00 - £55,852.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
