Reporting to the Senior Sponsorship Manager, you’ll help develop and deliver innovative sponsorship activations for partners such as Formula 1, that connect our brand with customers, colleagues and businesses. You’ll work collaboratively across Marketing and the wider business to understand the objectives we’re trying to achieve, identify how our sponsorship assets can help deliver them, and ensure our activity is designed with clear outcomes and measures of success from the outset.
You’ll bring together excellent sponsorship expertise with a good understanding of marketing and commercial drivers. Just as importantly, you’ll be curious about what works and why - using insight, data and evaluation to continually improve the effectiveness of our sponsorship activity and demonstrate the value it creates for Santander.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the Senior Sponsorship Manager in delivering Santander UK’s sponsorship strategy, translating brand, marketing and business objectives into creative, integrated activation plans with clear and measurable outcomes.
Developing and delivering sponsorship activations in collaboration with Marketing, Communications, business units and Santander Group, ensuring our sponsorship assets are effectively integrated and amplified across relevant channels and campaigns.
Building a great understanding of Santander’s commercial priorities and identifying opportunities for sponsorship to drive customer engagement, consideration, acquisition, loyalty and wider relationship objectives.
Managing sponsorship projects and activations from brief through to delivery and evaluation, ensuring activity is delivered to a high standard, on time, within budget and in line with agreed objectives.
Putting measurement and effectiveness at the heart of our activity, establishing clear objectives and KPIs, using insight and performance data to demonstrate impact and applying learnings to improve future activity.
Managing sponsorship budgets effectively, including planning and forecasting expenditure, tracking spend, managing purchase orders and invoices, and identifying opportunities to maximise value and ensure robust financial control.
Managing day-to-day relationships with sponsorship partners, agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring we maximise the value of our contractual rights, assets and investment.
Supporting effective governance across sponsorship activity, including contractual rights, approvals, financial crime, risk and compliance requirements, ensuring all activity is delivered in line with Santander policies.
