Please note, that all our roles are subject to an enhanced police check (Disclosure Barring Service – DBS) before employment commences.

The role includes responsibility for safely driving the home's minibus to support resident outings, appointments, and community engagement opportunities.

A full UK driving licence is required and must be eligible and able to be insured to drive the company's minibus

Key Responsibilities

As a Minibus Driver, every day is about making a real difference in the lives of our residents. You’ll get to:

• Promote dignity, independence, equality, and inclusion in all activities.

• Safely operate the home's minibus for resident outings, appointments, and events.

• Complete vehicle checks before and after use in accordance with company procedures.

• Ensure residents are always transported safely and comfortably.

• Assist residents boarding and leaving the vehicle in accordance with moving and handling guidance.

• Ensure wheelchairs, mobility equipment and safety restraints are used appropriately.

• Maintain any required driving records, mileage logs and vehicle documentation.

We require flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays when required.

Also require willingness to undertake minibus driver assessments and refresher training.

This role requires periods of standing, walking, setting up activity areas, supporting outings and assisting residents with mobility in accordance with training and risk assessments.
