As a Groups, Conference and Events Planner , you’re not just driving revenue through proactive selling and strategic sales techniques – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Support revenue growth: Assist senior management in identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across groups, conferences, and events. Contribute to overall revenue growth through effective sales techniques and proactive management of enquiries.
  • Build client relationships: Develop strong relationships with clients, event organisers, and key stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide tailored event solutions, and encourage repeat business.
  • Coordinate show rounds and promotions: Arrange and conduct engaging hotel show rounds for prospective clients, showcasing meeting spaces, guest rooms, and event facilities while supporting promotional initiatives to attract new and returning business.
  • Manage groups, conference and events pipeline: Oversee the groups, conference, and events diary to maximise venue utilisation and revenue opportunities. Coordinate with third-party suppliers and internal departments to ensure the successful planning and execution of all events.
  • Oversee client handover: Manage event administration and documentation, including contracts, function sheets, rooming lists, and event orders. Ensure all client requirements are accurately captured and communicated for a seamless handover from sales to operations.
  • Support event planning and delivery: Act as the primary point of contact for group, conference, and event bookings, ensuring every detail is planned and executed to the highest standard while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders: Work closely with the Sales Manager, Operations Teams, and Senior Hotel Management Team to achieve departmental objectives, plan key events, and drive business performance.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences: Monitor client satisfaction throughout the planning process and event delivery, promptly addressing any concerns and identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
