Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking to strengthen its Securities Settlements function with an experienced Settlements Analyst. The role sits within a high-volume, fast-paced operations environment and covers BAU settlement support across repo, cash bond and equity products on the Broadridge Gloss platform.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end settlement across multiple asset classes, working closely with counterparties, custodians, trading desks and internal operations teams to ensure accurate and timely settlement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage settlement of repo, cash bond and equity transactions across global markets
  • Monitor and resolve settlement fails and unmatched trades on the Gloss platform
  • Investigate and escalate settlement exceptions in a timely manner
  • Liaise with counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders to resolve breaks and queries
  • Perform daily reconciliations and break resolution across products
  • Resolve cash, depository, accounting and other breaks relating to the relevant markets
  • Act as a point of reference for settlement queries, providing guidance to colleagues on process and market conventions
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to trading and middle office staff on settlement status
  • Monitor outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution in line with regulatory guidelines
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to management
  • Support BAU processing and contribute to wider operational control initiatives

Requirements

  • Previous experience within Securities Settlements covering repo, cash bonds and/or equities
  • Hands-on experience using Broadridge Gloss
  • Strong understanding of settlement lifecycles across multiple asset classes, including trade matching, affirmation and confirmation processes
  • Experience managing settlement exceptions and fail resolution, including root cause investigation
  • Solid grasp of the various depositories and settlement infrastructures across UK, European and North American markets (e.g. CREST, Euroclear, Clearstream)
