G4S Recruiting for Area Security Supervisor Location: Area Supervisor Stormont and surrounding areas.

Position Hours: Full time.

Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days a week (overtime availability), Day/ evening 8 hr shifts

(generally 8-4).

Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour.

Overview

G4S Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) contract are seeking a reliable and flexible

Security Supervisor to provide essential support to our operations team across multiple

sites. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced

environment and enjoys supporting frontline teams, problem solving and multi-tasking,

overall contributing to the service delivery of a very much growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to Stormont Estate in the first instance, and Ulster Folk

and Transport Museum, as a central point of contact and site resilience, assist

Other Sites If Required.

  • Assist current employees with SIA renewal processes and documentation
  • Provide support to the Contract/ Operations manager, helping resolve staffing

issues. Assume responsibility (as directed) in the Contract Managers absence.

  • Act as a point of contact for sickness cover, including responding to and

resolving short notice absences - this may require attending sites personally,

though this is rare.

  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure operational standards are maintained and

carried out in the appropriate manner, and in compliance with G4S company

policies.

  • Support with delivery of uniforms and supplies to sites when needed, assist with

uniform distribution and management.

  • Be open and available to travel across all sites under the contract, provide

general support to the wider operations team, Handling ADHOC tasks as

Required.Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a Supervisory role.
  • Strong Communication/ Interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to problem solve and multi-task effectively.
  • IT literate (familiar with Google Docs).
  • Strong English language- writing/ verbal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills - experience of reaching KPI’s/ similar standards.
  • SIA Security Officer Licence (or willingness to renew with company support).
  • Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites.
  • Potential Security Supervisor should project high standards of uniform turnout/

personal presentation, and project a positive example/ standard for security

officers to emulate.

Ideal Candidate

Would have vast previous experience as a team leader/ supervisor in a securityenvironment i.e Police, Armed services, Border force, other Government or Private

Security roles, with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes/ standards in

their relevant field, highlighting their experience of security situational awareness.

An outgoing and positive people person who can engage with the client and build a

rapport. Someone who adapts to change well and can instruct others on new processes

in a clear concise manner.
