Role Overview

The University Network Administrator will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships between Sanctuary Graduates and universities across the UK. As a recruitment attraction partner, Sanctuary Graduates collaborates directly with universities to ensure seamless communication, build partnerships, and expand our database of academic contacts. This role will also involve coordinating the distribution of job opportunities to universities, tracking engagement, and optimising attraction activities to support clients’ recruitment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Relationship Management
  • Develop and build strong relationships with university contacts, including careers services teams, student organisations and academic staff.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Sanctuary Graduates and universities, ensuring regular and effective communication.
  • Build relationships through regular telephone calls, virtual meetings and email communications, maintaining frequent contact with key university stakeholders to encourage engagement and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively engage with universities to build partnerships and deliver value-added communications tailored to their needs.

2. Job Opportunity Coordination

  • Send out multiple job opportunities daily to university contacts, ensuring roles are promoted effectively to their networks.
  • Follow up job promotions with telephone calls where appropriate to maximise engagement, answer queries and encourage universities to actively promote opportunities to students.
  • Track the progress and outcomes of these attraction activities, gathering data on engagement and performance.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the team on which opportunities are most effective in generating interest and applications.
  1. Database Development and Management
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of university contacts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Research and identify new university contacts and decision-makers to expand Sanctuary Graduates' network.
  • Use CRM tools to log interactions, track progress and identify opportunities for deeper engagement following telephone conversations, meetings and email communications.

4. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with internal teams to align university engagement strategies with Sanctuary Graduates' client recruitment goals.
  • Represent Sanctuary Graduates professionally at university meetings, events and networking opportunities.
  • Support the wider team by undertaking outbound telephone activity, including speaking with students, carrying out fact-finding and telephony interviews, gathering candidate information, and assisting with other telephone-based recruitment and engagement activities as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in account management, stakeholder engagement, or relationship management, preferably within higher education or recruitment sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing databases and tracking multiple relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while being a collaborative team player.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner, with experience of building relationships, conducting outbound calls, fact-finding conversations and stakeholder engagement over the phone.
