An exciting opportunity has opened up for a highly motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our team.

We are a busy 18-bedded unit caring for Level 2 patients across all surgical specialties, including polytrauma. This is a fast-paced environment that is continually evolving and developing to meet the needs of our patients and the wider service.

This is a particularly exciting time to join the team as we embark on an ongoing service redesign programme. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the service, influencing new ways of working and helping to drive improvements in patient care and outcomes.

Successful applicants should have a genuine interest in Surgical HDU and polytrauma nursing. Experience with infusion devices, invasive lines and monitoring patients in an acute setting would be advantageous. The ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, is essential.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate leadership potential, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate both themselves and others.

The post involves day and night rotation working 12-hour shifts, and part-time hours would be considered. Current UK NMC registration is essential.

Excellent training and development opportunities will be available to support the successful candidate in advancing their critical care knowledge and skills.
