This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)-funded project. We are seeking a part-time researcher to lead and deliver the Liverpool strand of the project. The role will involve the CFD modelling a new super critical CO2 heat exchanger design. You will work closely within an integrated, multidisciplinary team of academics and researchers, and contribute to the supervision of PhD students based at Liverpool.

You will bring strong expertise and a proven track record in heat transfer and heat exchangers. You will demonstrate the ability to plan, organise, and deliver complex research programmes effectively, ensuring timely and successful outcomes. Experience in managing workloads, including supervising and delegating tasks, is essential.

You will be a collaborative team player with the confidence and capability to take a leading role when required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key, including the ability to listen, engage, and influence effectively, and to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a diverse range of audiences.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
