IT Security Technician - Maternity Cover

Hours of work : Full-time - 35 hours per week

Tenure: Fixed term maternity cover expected to be for 12 months from August 2026 until August 2027

Hybrid Working : Minimum requirement of 40% on Campus, with 60% considered desirable where possible

IT Security Technicians are motivated self-starters – using initiative to identify the work that will make the biggest difference and keep the University and its people secure.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the overall security of the University’s network and systems.

You will work in a friendly and supportive team, using market leading security tools to protect a large-scale network with a diverse selection of connected devices.

You will have a strong understanding of cyber threats and a background of responding to security incidents or working to protect organisations from threats, ideally backed up with cyber security qualifications
