HDFT are seeking to recruit a motivated and passionate registered Nurse to be part of the innovative 0-25 Family Health Service within Co Durham. The Public Health Staff Nurse for Perinatal & Infant Mental Health is an exciting role within the 0-25 Family Health Service in County Durham and will be an integral part of the Best Start Family Hubs.
In HDFT and County Durham we are dedicated in working towards improved public health outcomes for children and families, delivering high quality universal and targeted services to meet the key improvement priorities for the population.
The role will involve working in different community settings, including Family Hubs and family homes both as part of a team and as a lone worker. The role will support the Specialist Health Visitor in Perinatal & Infant Mental Health (PIMH) with leadership and supporting colleagues. The post holder will deliver direct care using recognised assessment and observation techniques under the supervision of the Specialist HV PIMH. The role will support with the development, organisation, delivery and evaluation of PIMH training across the workforce. Also including the dissemination and implementation of care pathways, policies and procedures for women and families experiencing mild, moderate and severe mental health problems. The post holder will be required to support the Specialist HV PIMH with any areas of research, audit, analysis and development. As this role is part of the Family Hub development there would be an expectation of effective integrated working with key delivery partners and the voluntary sector.
