Choices College is a supported internship programme that aims to support young adults with learning difficulties, disabilities or autism to become employment ready.

You will work closely with the Area Manager in delivering the College's outcomes and maintaining an employment transition rate for learners at above 70%. You will play a key role in ensuring the programme meets the needs of the learners, employers and regulatory bodies.

Please note: Willingness to travel is essential.

A passion for supporting learners with SEN to meet their full potential is essential for this role. The post holder will hold a teaching qualification or have recent experience in supporting the education of learners with SEN in the classroom and work placement. They will have the skills and experience to adapt working practices to suit the learning needs of individual learners using Training in Systematic Instruction methodologies.

The post holder will be a confident communicator with excellent motivating skills; you will also be highly organised and be extremely efficient in using MS Office packages.

The coordinator’s main duties will include supporting, monitoring and recording individual learner’s progress and reinforcing employability skills by delivering sessions in a classroom setting. The role also involves delivering bespoke training to mentors and sourcing new employers to provide placements/employment transitions for learners.
