Job Role: Financial Accountant

Provide financial and company secretarial services across a portfolio of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) operating PPP facilities. Responsible for financial reporting, governance, statutory compliance, stakeholder management and financial modelling support.

Duties

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for SPVs.
  • Complete month-end and year-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage invoicing, payments, utilities, FM fees, insurance costs and project transactions.
  • Prepare VAT returns, CIS returns and support corporation tax compliance.
  • Manage treasury activities and cash requirements.
  • Prepare board reporting packs and attend board meetings to present financial information.
  • Prepare board minutes and support governance activities.
  • Liaise with shareholders, lenders, auditors, tax advisers and banking partners.
  • Maintain and update project forecast models.
  • Monitor debt service and loan life cover ratios.
  • Support dividend and subordinated debt distributions.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate annual audits.
  • Manage Companies House filings and statutory records.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with project agreements, lender requirements and reporting deadlines.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or Qualified by Experience.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Positive, self-motivated and accountable approach.
  • Desirable: PPP, PFI or SPV accounting experience and company secretarial knowledge. Don't worry if you don't have direct PPP experience. Full training and support will be provided to help you develop the specialist knowledge required.
