Join HSL Compliance

As an Account Manager, you will take total ownership of your regional operational team to deliver successful, highly profitable client contracts. You will be the primary point of contact for key customers, bridging the gap between high-level commercial strategy and on-the-ground operational execution.

You will manage and mentor a team of Account Supervisors, monitor contract KPIs, oversee financial cost control, and ensure that all water safety services are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest compliance standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Run regular client reviews (quarterly in-person), address recommendations, and ensure total legal compliance.
  • Issue quotes, handle annual price uplifts, resolve queries, and promote wider HSL services.
  • Control job costs, manage sub-contractors, resolve WIP/invoicing issues, and maximize margins.
  • Deliver monthly updates to senior management on budgets, forecasts, and retenders.
  • Maintain real-time data across core platforms (Power BI, Business Central, FLS), lead mobilisations, and produce complex RAMS.
  • Proactively resolve site blocks threatening safety, performance, or compliance.
  • Mentor Account Supervisors to manage engineers and hit regional targets.
  • Handle technical sample escalations, resolve conduct/HR issues, conduct interviews, and manage shift cover.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical knowledge of water hygiene, Legionella compliance (ACoP L8 / HSG274), or building services compliance.
  • Proven experience managing contract P&Ls, financial forecasting, month-end reporting, and quoting for remedial works.
  • Experience managing supervisors, line-managing operational staff, and driving performance across field-based teams.
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills with a track record of running formal client review meetings and driving account growth.
  • Experience using modern ERP/CRM systems and data tools (such as Business Central, Power BI, or FLS scheduling software).
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for attending client meetings and visiting site locations across the region.

Why Work for HSL?

  • Full training and clear career development pathways
  • 22+ days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme & sick pay scheme
  • Free eye test every 2 years
  • Access to Kinhub (wellbeing & financial support)
  • Discounts with hundreds of retailers via Reward Gateway
