About The Role

Job Title: Administration Officer

Location: HLF House, Blaydon Upon Tyne.

Hours: 25 hours weekly

Contract: Permanent (subject to 6 month probationary period)

Salary: £16,523.00 per annum (pro rata of FTE £24,454.04)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Administration Officer will provide essential administrative support across a range of functions to help North East Counselling Services run effectively and ensure counsellors can focus on delivering high-quality services.

Reporting To The Operations Manager, The Successful Candidate Will

  • To ensure, the timely and accurate allocation of all newly referred and self-referred clients, to suitable NECS employed, associate or probationer counsellors, in line with NECS’ allocation policies and procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the management team.
  • Support HR, finance, communications, and business processes.
  • Assist with reception duties, greeting clients, booking appointments and handling enquiries (in person, by phone, and online).
  • Maintain accurate records on our internal systems (including Counsel360).
  • Support counsellors with room bookings, data input, and general admin needs.
  • Help ensure the premises are well-maintained and welcoming.
  • Provide secretarial support for meetings when required.
  • Supporting other administration staff and activities across the business, as required, to ensure an effective, efficient and timely service.
