Brand & Communications Officer

Bolton College is looking for a talented and creative Brand & Communications Officer to bring our stories to life and strengthen how we connect with learners, colleagues, employers and the wider community.

Joining our busy Marketing, Recruitment and Communications team, you will play a central role in shaping the College’s voice, protecting its brand and producing engaging content across print and digital channels. From high-profile campaigns and compelling news stories to internal communications and learner recruitment, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact across the College.

Ideally, you will:

• Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
• Hold a relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Digital Marketing, or be willing to work towards one
• Have experience of working in marketing, communications or public relations and producing high-quality content for print and digital channels
• Be a confident and creative writer with a strong understanding of branding and audience engagement
• Be highly organised, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Create engaging content, including press releases, articles, newsletters and corporate communications
• Support internal and external campaigns, learner recruitment activity and College events
• Maintain a strong and consistent Bolton College brand across all communications
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and share compelling stories
• Bring fresh ideas and a proactive, solution-focused approach to the team
• As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
