About the role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Student Recruitment Operations Officer to join our Student Recruitment, Outreach & Events team within Marketing, Recruitment & Communications (MRC).

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in managing our Student Ambassador Programme and supporting the effective delivery of student recruitment, outreach, widening participation and events activity across Bournemouth University.

You will lead the day-to-day management of our Student Ambassador workforce, overseeing recruitment, induction, training, deployment, engagement and performance. You will ensure ambassadors are allocated effectively across a wide range of activities, while maintaining high standards of compliance, wellbeing and service delivery.

Alongside this, you will coordinate key operational processes across the team, including financial administration, resource and equipment management, systems, reporting, health and safety, safeguarding and event logistics. You will also help us identify and implement improvements that make our processes more efficient, consistent and responsive.

Working closely with colleagues across MRC, understand operational requirements and ensure resources are aligned with our priorities. You will be comfortable managing competing demands and taking ownership of operational projects from planning through to delivery.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, experience of coordinating complex processes and the confidence to supervise or manage staff, student workers or volunteers. You will be proactive, solutions-focused and able to exercise sound judgement while working both independently and as part of a busy, collaborative team.

Experience of student recruitment, outreach, widening participation or student employment would be beneficial, but most importantly, you will bring a commitment to excellent service and continuous improvement.

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining people management with hands-on operational delivery and who is motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic and ambitious team.
