Purpose of the Job Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Analyst to join our Information Management & Technology (IM&T) team. Reporting to the Design & Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in driving business improvement by analysing processes, identifying opportunities, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation and third-party suppliers, you will bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring projects deliver meaningful outcomes that support organisational growth and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Investigate business challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, epics and other project documentation.
  • Support the delivery of technology and business change initiatives using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings and training sessions to engage stakeholders and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Analyse business processes and data to recommend innovative, value-adding solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project teams, third-party technology suppliers and IM&T colleagues to ensure successful solution design and implementation.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards for quality, scope and business value.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying business analysis techniques, process improvement methodologies and best practice.

What we’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong skills in stakeholder management, requirements gathering and business process analysis.
  • Experience working within Agile environments, including writing user stories, facilitating workshops and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using business analysis and process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio and Azure DevOps.
  • A recognised Business Analysis qualification (such as BCS) or equivalent experience would be advantageous, along with knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • A collaborative, innovative mindset with a passion for delivering continuous improvement and high-quality business outcomes.
