You’ll support people with eating disorders through practical care and recovery-focused activities, helping them build confidence and improve their wellbeing.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will help deliver assessment, treatment and day service activities. This role is important in supporting people during their recovery journey, providing practical support, monitoring wellbeing and helping create a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with patients, carers and healthcare professionals to promote positive outcomes and person-centred care

What you’ll do

Support people with meal preparation, supported eating and daily recovery activities

Assist with treatment groups, day services and community-based activities

Carry out basic clinical observations, including blood pressure monitoring, Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and phlebotomy following training and competency assessments

Accurately record patient information and report changes in physical or mental wellbeing to the clinical team

Provide compassionate support to patients, carers and families during challenging situations

What we’re looking for

A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience

Experience supporting people in mental health, learning disability or similar care settings, or transferable experience from related roles

Strong communication skills and the ability to work calmly in difficult situations

Empathy, patience and a commitment to person-centred care

Willingness to complete training, including clinical observations and phlebotomy if required
