Quality Shift Lead

Terumo Aortic are looking for a motivated and organised Quality Shift Lead – In Process Inspection to join the Quality Control team on a 12 month secondment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with quality control, quality systems and leadership experience to support the delivery of safe, compliant and high-quality manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for controlling, planning and managing in-process inspection quality operations across manufacturing areas, while supporting safe, compliant and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, control and manage in-process inspection quality operations within manufacturing areas.
- Ensure product inspection, product package inspection and clean room release activities meet required acceptance criteria.
- Support quality performance, continuous improvement activity and audit readiness across the in-process inspection area.
- Prepare, review and approve relevant departmental procedures.
- Investigate quality issues, support yield improvements and manage non-conforming product activity.
- Represent Quality In Process Inspection at relevant meetings.
- Support NCR investigations, report writing, GMP verification and batch review checks in line with procedures.
- Lead, coach and motivate team members, providing clear direction, feedback and support.
- Support performance management activity, coaching and development of team members.
- Deputise for the Quality Lead – In Process Inspection when required.
- Support training activity, including on-the-job training and new team member induction.
- Monitor individual and team performance and take appropriate action when required.
- Support continuous improvement activity, short interval management and the implementation of new technologies.
- Maintain a safe, compliant and audit-ready working environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Highly organised with good forward planning skills.
- Competence in the use of IT systems and technology.
- Clean room experience.
