About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) Advisor to support our Regional Civils business operating within the Power, Transmission & Distribution sector.
The role will be initially site-based at Woolavington, Somerset, supporting civils engineering works within a power and utilities environment, before evolving into a regional position across multiple sites in the South as the programme develops.

This includes providing an effective in-house health and safety advisory and management service, to advise and assist the southern contracts in meeting all their statutory safety and environmental responsibilities and to promote a culture of continual safety behavioural improvement.

- Provide professional HS&W advice and guidance across Regional Civils Power T&D projects
- Support the planning, implementation and assurance of safe systems of work, including RAMS, permits to work, temporary works and lifting operations
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors to integrate HS&W from pre-construction through to delivery
- Build strong working relationships with clients, asset owners, DNOs and regulators, representing Balfour Beatty professionally
- Support and influence the supply chain, ensuring alignment with Balfour Beatty standards and expectations
- Carry out site inspections, tours, audits and assurance activities, tracking actions and driving continuous improvement
- Support incident reporting, investigation and learning, ensuring lessons are embedded regionally
- Promote health and wellbeing initiatives, including occupational health, mental wellbeing and behavioural safety
- Contribute to regional HS&W objectives, data reporting and improvement plans
Who we're looking for
You will be a hands-on, engaging HS&W professional with experience in civils or infrastructure environments, comfortable operating both site-based and regionally.
Essential:

We offer:
