We're looking for a Engineering Surveyor to join our KierBAM JV 10 Docks Civil Engineering Project team based in Devonport Royal Docks, Plymouth.

Location: Devonport Royal Docks, Plymouth

Hours: 42.5 Full-time

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks. Eligibility criteria: Many positions within the project are subject to national security clearance restrictions. As an engineering surveyor the role will cover a wide range of activities, which are described in the key responsibilities section below. As part of the survey team, the focus of the role will vary during the stages of construction.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Engineering Surveyor, you'll be working within the survey engineering team, supporting them in delivering accurate and timely survey data processing and modelling services. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Checking and maintaining survey control networks.
  • Conducting assurance surveys for construction of RC structures; through pre-pour, post-pour checks.
  • As-built surveys, through laser scanning and modelling of point clouds.
  • Ensuring survey data is collected and recorded accurately, following project QA/QC standards. Operating survey equipment to the highest of precision within a civils environment.
  • Supporting engineers with setting out activities to ensure consistent approaches to surveying and engineering.

What are we looking for?

This role of Engineering Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You hold a degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Construction.
  • You have experience in surveying and construction industries.
  • Experience in a similar surveying position on a civil engineering project.
  • Experience with surveying equipment; total stations, GPS/GNSS and laser scanners and experience with survey data processing software; AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Leica Cyclone and Leica 3DR.
  • CSCS Card and relevant site safety qualifications
