About This Role

We're looking for caring and experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young boy with complex care needs. This rewarding role includes term-time day shifts at school as well as night shifts at home.

During the day, you'll support him at school, helping him access his education while ensuring his clinical and personal care needs are met. At night, you'll provide dedicated clinical support and monitoring to keep him safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

He enjoys sensory lights and toys, messy play with foam, sand and paint, listening to music, and spending time on the trampoline. He loves attending school and thrives in a calm, relaxed environment where he feels safe, comfortable, and supported.

Your role will include providing personal care, assisting with moving and handling, managing his clinical needs, administering medication, and supporting seizure management. You'll also encourage and support him to participate in the activities he enjoys, helping him make the most of each day.

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex clinical needs is essential.

The specific clinical competencies required for our client are:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, including administering Buccal Midazolam for seizure management.

    Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
  • Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.

About You
