Workshop Technician

Bauer Equipment UK Ltd is looking to recruit a motivated and reliable Workshop Technician to join our team in Rotherham.

We have an excellent opportunity to work with a market leading company specialising in the manufacture of ground engineering equipment. Bauer Equipment UK Ltd is the UK subsidiary of BAUER Maschinen GmbH, a global leader in specialist foundation equipment. The company focuses on sales, after-sales service, repair, technical support, and rental of BAUER, MAT, Klemm equipment across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Based in our modern workshop, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, repairing, overhauling and preparing specialist equipment to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Service, maintain, and repair heavy plant and specialist equipment.

· Disassembly, inspection and overhaul of planetary gearboxes

· Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.

· Prepare equipment for customer delivery and site deployment.

· Complete workshop documentation and inspection reports accurately.

· Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality service.

What we're looking for

· Experience working with heavy plant, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, or similar.

· Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.

· Basic electrical diagnostic experience is desirable.

· A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
