Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager – Industrial Automation role based in Havant. The Project Manager will oversee end-to-end delivery of industrial automation projects, from scoping and planning through installation, commissioning, and handover. Daily responsibilities include coordinating internal engineering and technical teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients. The role involves expediting materials and equipment, monitoring logistics and site activities, and ensuring inspections and quality checks are completed on schedule. The Project Manager will also identify and mitigate risks, prepare project documentation and reports, and support continuous improvement in project execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including experience planning, executing, and closing technical or industrial automation projects.
- Expeditor and expediting experience, with the ability to track and accelerate procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of project components.
- Inspection skills and familiarity with quality assurance processes for mechanical, electrical, or automation equipment.
- Logistics management capabilities, covering coordination of shipments, site deliveries, and installation schedules.
- Background in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing engineering is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office; experience with ERP or scheduling software is an advantage.
- Relevant technical or engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience in industrial automation or manufacturing.
