Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Rotational Shifts (06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00)

Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment (Full-Time)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Managing a team of up to 45 staff (Warehouse colleagues, First Line Managers and Performance coaches)
• Manage operational performance on shift to achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) on productivity, quality and cost (P&L)
• Ensure workload planning and resourcing routines are accomplished to the required standard
• Complete all team performance reviews and 1-2-1's for direct reports, accurately and within timeframe
• Ensure that SOP's, SSOW and company policies and processes are being adhered to at all times
• Control absence levels on shift by robust and consistent application of absence management process
• Develop strong management capability through effective performance management, coaching, mentoring and development of teams and individuals
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with management, colleagues and stakeholders
• To take full operational responsibility for the warehouse and transport operations on a shift basis

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Previous warehouse management experience at Shift Manager/Supervisor level is essential
• Experience of working within a Warehousing operation is essential
• Transport operation knowledge/experience would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
• Automation experience would be desirable
• Understanding of finances/budget (P&L)
• Demonstrable record of delivering against targets for own area of responsibility
• Analytical skills - Running reports, sharing data
