The Quality Assurance and Regulation Directorate (QARD) within Healthcare Improvement Scotland undertakes a range of inspection, regulation and review activities in a planned and proactive manner to provide public assurance on safety and quality of care across the whole of Scotland.
Our work is varied and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a highly effective, multi-disciplinary team within our Reviews function. Our programmes include Responding to Concerns, Adverse Events, National Hub for reviewing and learning from the deaths of children and young people and Sharing Health and Care Intelligence Network.
The postholder will be working flexibly to support the development and delivery of a range of our reviews programmes. You must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, complex environment, with the ability to work flexibly to meet changing demands.
You will have the ability to lead multidisciplinary review teams to identify, analyse and evaluate practices, systems and policies across a range of complex national programmes, adapting plans if needed. You will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex, sensitive and sometimes contentious information in a clear unambiguous manner to a wide variety of external stakeholders in relation to quality assurance activities.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a relevant subject such as healthcare, public health, data analysis, health and care service delivery.
