Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy and supportive Outpatient Reception team based at Royal Gwent Hospital.

The Reception team play a vital role in patient care and has a commitment to deliver, high quality care in the right place, at the right time.
You will be well supported by the Health Records management team and will receive full training in all aspects of this fast paced role. We can also offer many training and development opportunities to further progress your career within the service.

Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the reception team and contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and effective service across the board
- To undertake a wide range of reception, telephone and clerical tasks, including the greeting of patients, admissions/discharging Day Case procedures and the preparation of patient notes
- Completion of patient outcomes and rebooking of follow up patients’ appointments/treatments where appropriate.
- Maintain professional communication with service users and all disciplines of staff

The ability to speak Welsh is Essential for this role, or willingness to undertake training as required by the post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Education And Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good Standard of Education to include Maths and English
- Computer Literate
- NVQ 2 in administration OR Basic general education Literate & Numerate and a willingness to undertake & complete statutory & mandatory training i.e. Information Governance, confidentiality, data coding and input procedures etc. during an induction period Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post
