Business Development Officer – Apprenticeships Norfolk | 10853 | Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2028 | 37 hours per week | £34,434 to £36,363 per annum (Scale H) | County Hall / Hybrid working
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Apprenticeships Norfolk team as a Business Development Officer .
We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting Norfolk businesses to develop their workforce through apprenticeships and skills solutions. If you enjoy building relationships, working with employers, and helping people access opportunities that support business growth and career development, we would love to hear from you.
You will have experience working within the employment, skills or apprenticeship sector and be confident engaging with employers, particularly small and medium-sized businesses. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality customer service.
You will
- Support and promote the Apprenticeships Norfolk brokerage service, responding to enquiries from employers and providing advice on apprenticeship and skills solutions.
- Build and develop relationships with SMEs and micro-businesses across Norfolk, helping them identify workforce skills needs and recruitment opportunities.
- Provide business advice and support to employers on apprenticeships, available funding and practical support options.
- Work collaboratively with colleges, training providers, business support organisations and other partners to deliver employer-focused projects and initiatives. Support participants to engage with project activity, helping to create a pipeline of potential candidates for apprenticeship and employment opportunities
