We are looking for a Catering Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join Montpelier Primary School and become an integral member of the Catering team, to start as soon as possible.

About the role

We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our school to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the School Kitchen. You will be working with a happy, friendly and efficient catering team where your duties will include; assisting with the preparation and cooking of school meals, presentation and service of food and beverages to our pupils and maintaining the catering areas in accordance with food hygiene regulations. You should have a flexible and adaptable approach to your work, excellent communications skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

We are the largest primary school in Plymouth and one of the largest in the South West. Our school family is friendly, innovative and forward thinking. Pupils’ learning behaviours are strong and our staff are highly motivated and experienced. Our school was rated as ‘Good’ in September 2019 and we are delighted to share that in our recent inspection in November 2024, Ofsted shared that ‘Montpelier Primary School has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection’.
