To deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across Further Education provision at Levels 1 to 3, including school partnership provision and the Welsh Baccalaureate, together with Higher Education provision on the Sport Coaching and Performance Science degree (Levels 4 to 6). Higher Education delivery will include specialist modules, with module allocation reviewed to reflect the successful candidate's areas of expertise and experience. The post holder will ensure an excellent learner experience, enabling students to achieve their full academic, vocational and personal potential. They will contribute to the delivery of consistently high standards within their subject area through effective planning, assessment and learner support.
The role includes the design and delivery of engaging, inclusive and innovative learning activities, contributing to the continuous development of a responsive and industry relevant
FE curriculum and the Sport Coaching and Performance Science degree (Levels 4 to 6), while supporting learner progress, retention and achievement. The post holder will also undertake programme leadership responsibilities and fulfil the role of personal tutor, providing academic oversight, monitoring performance and supporting learner wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include creating effective learning opportunities that maximise learner outcomes, contributing to high quality enrichment and extracurricular activities, and maintaining excellent standards of teaching, assessment and learner support. The post holder will ensure full compliance with organisational policies, quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements across Further Education, Higher Education and school partnership provision.
The lecturer will actively support, motivate and challenge learners to meet and exceed their targets, promoting a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement and positive progression across all programmes they deliver.

Working Pattern
37 hours per week.
835 hours annual teaching time – 24 to 26 hours teaching per week.
Up to 5 hours per week working off site in agreement with manager.
