The role

Are you passionate about supporting students and making a difference in education? We are looking for enthusiastic Education Support Officers to fill multiple positions across various shifts, offering flexible opportunities to help learners thrive.

  • Term-time (36 weeks per year)
  • Part time (18 hours per week)
  • Fixed term until 31st August 2027
  • £13.52 per hour (£10,138 per annum)
  • Tycoch Campus, Swansea

Interviews are expected to take place in early/mid September. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an optional taster session/job preview on the day of their interview, providing an opportunity to gain an insight into the role and working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide educational, emotional, social and personal support to students with Additional Learning Needs
  • Participate in and support the provision of learning programmes as directed by the lecturers
  • Assist in the manual handling of students with personal care requirements in accordance with the individual care plan

About you

  • GCSE passes in Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent are desirable
  • Basic IT skills i.e. operate a computer, familiar with Microsoft Word and the Internet
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with learning difficulties
  • Able to work with people with learning difficulties, including assisting with personal care.
