Logistics Operative & Print Assistant Cover (Internal Goods)– approx. £38,000 – Deeside, Flintshire

Do you have experience in a manufacturing or production environment?
MM Packaging is looking for an Internal Goods In Logistics Operative & Print Assistant Cover to join our Print and Goods In team. This is a hands-on role where you'll help keep materials moving efficiently throughout production while ensuring the Print Department has everything it needs to meet customer demand.
The Role
As a Logistics Operative, you'll be responsible for the safe movement of materials across the site, supporting production through efficient warehouse and machine-side logistics.
Alongside your logistics responsibilities, you'll receive training to develop the skills needed to provide cover for the Print Assistant role, giving you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and support the wider production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate FLT and T20 equipment to transport materials throughout the site.
- Load, unload, and position materials to support production schedules.
- Maintain a continuous supply of board to the Print Department.
- Support Print operations with load stripping and machine-side logistics.
- Work closely with the Cut & Crease Department to ensure work is dispatched accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming, outgoing, and transferred materials.
- Coordinate material movements with Print Assistants, FLT Drivers, and Production teams.
- Operate and monitor baler equipment, carrying out basic fault finding where required.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) requirements.
- Communicate with Expressway regarding deliveries, collections, and shunt requirements.
- Complete training to provide cover for the Print Assistant role when required.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by management.

The Person
You'll be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a busy production environment.
You'll also have:
- Valid FLT and T20 licences.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous logistics or warehouse experience, ideally within manufacturing.
- Familiarity with print machinery is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) are advantageous.
