You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience at band 5 which should be in an acute setting. Good written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of IT systems are also required. You should also be a hard-working, assertive and motivated professional.
Smallfield is a 24-bed general medical ward. The successful applicant will be required to coordinate the ward on a day-to-day basis and should therefore have the ability to organise and prioritise their workload, and that of others, use their initiative and be able to solve problems and contribute new ideas within a multi-disciplinary team. They will deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence and will also supervise other members of staff in order to maintain high standards of patient care.
