This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard).* About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join our team as a Bank BMS. Our laboratory operates a 24/7 service, and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all shift patterns as allocated by the Pathology Lead to meet the service requirements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering a professional and technical laboratory service, working effectively as part of a team while also performing routine analyses independently, with support from the Pathology Lead as required. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Haematology, Coagulation, Biochemistry, Immunoassay, and Blood Transfusion tests accurately and efficiently. - Monitor quality control programs and assist with stock management. - Maintain turnaround times (TAT), morphology, and cross-matching. - Handle NHSBT referrals and provide component support for Major Haemorrhages. Working as part of a small, multidisciplinary team, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills, knowledge, and experience.
