Role Information
Our Community Study Programme Team generally work with learners aged 16-19 who are seeking employment within the Health, Social Care and Children & Young People's settings and support them in gaining a qualification but also boosting their confidence and other soft skills. Our LCG head office is based in County Durham, but our Community Study Programme Team provision operates nationally.
DUTIES
- Deliver a timetable of teaching, learning and assessment as agreed with your Community Study Programme Manager.
- To undertake qualification delivery planning in collaboration with team members that is compliant with all external requirements.
- Ensure that support systems are provided to facilitate positive retention, achievement, and progression.
- Completing all E-registers in a timely manner to the required standards Monitor attendance and performance of the learners on an ongoing basis and effectively report to management.
- Ensure learner requirements are dealt with quickly and effectively
- To deliver teaching, learning and assessment ensuring a positive learner experience and timely achievement.
- To ensure individual learning plans and progress reviews are completed appropriate to individual learner requirements, including the setting of smart targets.
- Timely completion of assessment and documentation to meet awarding body, audit and organisational requirements.
- Submit portfolios in a timely manner for interim and summative verification and work with the IV to ensure quality improvement.
- Undertake appropriate learning and development activities as required for the job role and maintain a record of all CPD.
- Contribute where appropriate to learner disciplinary action requirements.
- To attend standardisation and team meetings at designated centres to develop team and individual performance.
- Promote and ensure safe working practices and safeguarding of learners in line with current Health and Safety legislation and LCG Safeguarding and Prevent policies.
- Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice guidance as part of your everyday role.
- Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours
- Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Essentia Criteria EXPERIENCE
Relevant industry experience as a professional beautician
Experience in delivering and assessing apprenticeships, study programmes, or adult education
Strong digital literacy, proficient in using online learning platforms and management systems
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passionate about learner achievement and progression
Highly organised and able to effectively manage workload and priorities
Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in embracing innovative teaching methodologies
Strong organisational and time management skills
Committed to continuous professional development and excellence in education delivery
Appropriate classroom management skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Level 3 NVQ/Diploma (or equivalent professional qualification)
Recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education & Training, preferred Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training) or be working towards these.
Assessors Award (e.g., TAQA/A1, D32/D33) or be working towards.
GCSE C grade (or equivalent e.g L2 Functional Skills) in Maths & English
