Employer description

Deadly Dozen began with one simple goal: to create a fitness race that anyone could join. What started as a Track Race in Macclesfield, UK, has now evolved into a global community of athletes, affiliates, and fitness enthusiasts, with hundreds of races across 23 countries.

/*generated inline style */

We are looking for a Race Results & Operations Assistant to work closely with our Results & Operations Lead, supporting the systems, data and organisation behind Deadly Dozen races worldwide.

This is not a repetitive admin role where you are shown one process and repeat it forever. The work changes constantly. One day you might be checking athlete data and results files; the next, helping resolve a registration issue with an international director or working through a timing or leaderboard problem nobody has encountered before.

We need someone organised, proactive and genuinely good at figuring things out.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing, checking and cleaning athlete registration data

Building and managing results files, leaderboards and split-time data

Checking race results for missing information, errors and inconsistencies

Supporting race setup, including entries, team information, wave times and event data

Coordinating with timing companies, race directors, gyms and athletes

Responding to queries clearly and professionally

Helping improve the templates, systems and processes behind Deadly Dozen operations

Taking ownership of new problems and working towards practical solutions

What we’re looking for

You do not need previous experience in race timing or event operations. What matters more is how you think and work.

Are confident with spreadsheets and large, imperfect datasets

Can spot when something does not look right and investigate it properly

Enjoy solving problems without needing every step explained

Are highly organised and comfortable managing several moving pieces at once

Communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people

Can work independently but know when to ask the right questions

Use AI tools intelligently as part of how you work

Are comfortable in a fast-moving role where priorities can change

This role will not suit someone looking for a fixed, predictable list of tasks. We are looking for someone reliable who can learn quickly, use judgement and help keep the operation moving.

Benefits.

Free gym membership

Room for progression as a growing company

holiday entitlement 28 -30 days

potential for overtime due to events.

Training & Development

As an apprentice you will be completing a level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
