A fantastic development opportunity has arisen for 2.0 WTE 6 month secondments within the Community, Cancer, Diagnostics and End of Life Division. These posts will operate cross bay.

These roles will support 2 of our directorates. Directorate 2, includes Urgent Community Response, Virtual Wards, Integrated Wellness Service and Integrated Care Communities. Directorate 2 includes Outpatient Physiotherapy, Outpatient Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Orthotics and Integrated Musculoskeletal Service.

We are looking for a values-driven, enthusiastic leader to join us as an Operational Manager at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.

As Operational Manager, you will play a central role in coordinating business planning and service development, working alongside divisional leaders, clinical teams, and a wide range of partners.

You will bring experience of managing people and services in a complex organisation, and you will be confident working with data, systems, and a variety of stakeholders. We operate from three main hospitals; Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
