Desktop Engineer- Immediate Start

We’re looking for an experienced Desktop Engineer / EUC Engineer to support a fast-paced IT environment on a short-term 10-week contract based in Croydon.

This is an immediate start opportunity, ideal for someone hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line desktop support across a Windows-based environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to:
• Windows 10/11 OS
• Microsoft Office / M365 applications
• Hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
• Carry out desktop builds, imaging, and deployments
• Support user onboarding and offboarding (joiners, movers, leavers)
• Manage incidents and requests via a ticketing system, ensuring SLA adherence
• Assist with device refresh and rollout activities
• Work closely with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a Desktop Support / End User Computing (EUC) role
• Strong knowledge of:
• Windows OS (10/11)
• Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
• Experience with Active Directory (user account management, group policies)
• Familiarity with imaging tools (e.g. SCCM, Intune, MDT)
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service approach

Desirable

• Experience with Intune / Autopilot deployments
• Knowledge of network basics (VPN, Wi-Fi, connectivity troubleshooting)
• Previous experience in a fast-paced or project-driven environment
