Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 36 hours a week
Salary: £30k (Negotiable for the perfect candidate)
The role of Senior Development Coach at Future Gymnastics is one of the most important new positions to be made available in recent times. We are looking for the very best candidate to:
- Deliver high quality coaching sessions within our programme of Weekly Classes, After School Clubs, Camps and Clinics.
- Head Coach these activities and lead the Gym by example, taking responsibility for the safety and well-being of everyone within.
- Attend and support our programme of Events and Competitions throughout the year, being a lead during planning and rehearsal periods especially.
- Take a keen interest and active role in the development of our Coaching workforce, using your time and expertise to nurture and develop colleagues.
- During periods of non-delivery attend sessions and activities with a quality assurance mindset, suggesting and recommending ways and areas for improvement.
- Cross sell and promote our wide range range of activities by undertaking tasks such as delivering leaflets around local schools, sign-posting gymnasts to other relevant activities, and delivering taster sessions and assemblies as required.
- Mentor and generally be a positive role model for our young leaders programme, and work with our Bright Futures lead to ensure we are developing future Coaches who may go on to work with the programme itself.
- Work with our Logistics lead to ensure that equipment and materials are at venues in a timely fashion to ensure the smooth running of activities, and return to storage after use.
- Work to understand our Gym Schedule with a view to being the lead organiser on this aspect of the business.
- Perform any other duties that the company reasonably requests from time to time.
Personal Spec
Essential
- Level 2 Gymnastics Coaching Qualification
- Full, clean UK drivers license
- A minimum of 2 years Coaching experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to organise and motivate team members
- Confident and outgoing personality
- Great attention to detail
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Risk aware and confident in escalating critical information
- Passion for supporting and improving colleagues
Desirable
- Level 1 Trampoline Coaching Qualification
- First Aid Trained
- Safeguarding training and background
- Proven line management experience
- A minimum of 5 years coaching at a high performance level
- Experience leading Squads and Display Teams
- Successful competition and events background
